Commuters will be happy with any increase in frequency that comes about, but probably don't care if their particular station isn't shown on the tube maps.
These quite clearly aren't maps for public navigation.

The grey lines won't be shown on TfL maps, nor will the outer suburban semi-fasts, nor Thameslink and I'd imagine the Charing Cross and Cannon Street services would be grouped together on a map of the whole city, though line maps at stations and on trains would explain. That would massively simplify stuff, including the peak-only services.

Not showing the sub-6tph lines would make any map less useful (and you'd have to remove various lines currently shown - parts of the Met, Piccadilly and Central lines, the Goblin, Romminster, the Lea Valley lines north of Edmonton, Willesden Junction-Richmond and the Watford DC lines).

Service disruptions expected all week for Thameslink since a cable came into contact with overhead wire in Luton station.

MP's in WEST Anglia want increased frequency on TRAINS for their local stations, beyond London.

That's not what the article says.
1) They aren't in East Anglia at all - the line is called West Anglian Main Line for a reason, and the article always says "West Anglia"
2) It's the inside-London MPs that want the increased frequency on CR2 for their local stations (they don't want more than it's proposing - they want what CR2 will provide)
3) The beyond-London MPs don't want CR2 services to their local stations. They want CR2 (or rather the 4 tracking between Tottenham Hale and Broxbourne that is an inherent part of the scheme) to happen to remove the bottleneck on the line so they can have faster and more frequent non-CR2 services to their local stations.

Huge new station planned for Ilford ‘to meet Crossrail demand'

Plans for a huge new glass-fronted station at Ilford were submitted today as part of a package of improvements for the start of Crossrail services.

A new ticket hall flooded with natural light and designed by architects Atkins will replace the Cranbrook Road station, which has been criticised as a “ghetto” by some passengers.

There will also be new lifts for step-free access to all platforms from street level, longer platforms, improved lighting, signage, customer information points, CCTV and overhead information screens.

Network Rail’s proposed improvements come after Transport for London opened a new ticket hall in York Road as part of its station upgrades.

The first Crossrail trains on the new Elizabeth line will start passing through Ilford from May next year with up to 12 services an hour into central London by May 2019.

Matthew White, Crossrail surface director, said: “These major improvements will make travelling through Ilford station a vastly better experience for the many thousands of people who use it every day.

This is a luxury real estate ad in the recently opened Whampoa MTR Station in Hong Kong. I can verify the estate in question is really by the MTR station, not Canary Wharf Crossrail station, so don't give it search traffic.

I struggled a bit whether I should post this in the Hong Kong MTR thread or this one, but I settled that only those who know about Crossrail would get the joke so there you have it (I know someone is going to disagree with me on this, but anyway.)
