I don't think its in fines but, TfL are investing £30m I think in rebranding, is what you mean?

Both LOROL and MTR are concessions, not franchises, and RfL (Rail for London) fine them on non-compliance. I guess not having the stations properly branded might lead to "fines" in the same way as if the clocks are broken, or a help point not working?

That's why I think if privatisation is to remain, the concession, rather than the franchise model, seems to work much better.

Great news! I hope that in next future all private commuters rail lines which serve the London urban area will become part of the TFL network.

With regards to TFL Rail station brandings, they are doing a station a day I think. Yesterday Goodmayes still had the old colours, that wasn't even changed when Abellio took over from National Express, and today, the signs are branded TFL Rail. So more work to come.

Crossrail project: London's 26-mile tunnelling work finished

Tunnelling work across London for the £14.8bn Crossrail scheme has been finished.
Eight boring machines have been cutting their way through earth to create 26 miles (42km) of tunnels.
Services, which are due to start in 2018, will run as far west as Reading in Berkshire and as far east as Shenfield in Essex.
During a visit to the Crossrail site at Farringdon, David Cameron said the project was "an engineering triumph".
Boring machine Victoria's breakthrough at Farringdon on Wednesday night completed tunnelling through the capital.

Tremendous Achievement

Will be interesting to see the effect on the central line once this is built. It may mean there are more commuters choosing to come in on train. Great for tourism too.

Anyway here it is:

Some particular features integrated in the map:

1. The center, inside the circle line loop is more or less geographically accurate

2. There is a frequency based hierarchy for the lines (underground, DLR/ Overground etc..)

3. Separated DLR routes

4. Airport rail links

5. Out of system transfers, pictured as a walk through known or unknown streets

6. Crossrail integration

It involved walking down to track level along the eastern running tunnel which will eventually be used by services from the City and Docklands towards Woolwhich and Abbey Wood.

An idea on how the TFL train interior looks like.

[IMG][/IMG]

The blue handles and rails replaces the old red of Abellio and taking out the old pink boards for something greenish grey.
