Planning to buy a plot in singaperumal kovil. It's almost 2 km from the GST road towards the Hallmark Golden county. The agent is quoting 16 lakhs for one ground (2400 Sqft). Is it worth buying? Since i am not in chennai for two years not sure about the market price. please suggest.

Make sure there is no land acquisition effort going on in that area.

Does it have a hotel to stay in for the guests / visitors of the companies who have occupied spaces in it. If not hotel, some kind of guest houses. If anyone know please answer.

There are no hotels/guest houses around for visitors to stay. There are some residential appartments(Sylvan county) constructed by Mahendra within mahendra city where companies usually get rooms for vistors. Though you cant book rooms there on your own.

Thankyou...anyway now I have a information that there is some place to stay in there..will try thru the company being visited. People constantly ask me this I say 'I don't know".

Why is that Mahindra can't develop a nice budget hotel / 5 start hotel inside the premises..like the Taj hotel at ITPL. Any constraints...

Huge parcels of land are still vacant inside Mcity. No constraints on land. but I am not sure whether if any hotels when constructed will get any patronage here, since its too far from city and no much entertainment areas around here. The place just becomes empty on saturdays and sundays.

Mu kudos to Mahindra City. They have promised and they have delivered more than what they have promised. In spite of this I must say that Mahindra City and TCS Siruserri is Chennai's best kept secret. These to classics are located very far away from the main roads of Chennai and the locals and the visitors cannot appreciate these beautiful buildings. I wish the future developments are kept closer to major roads so that others too can see them and feel proud of them.

Nissan R&D centre begins work on battery research

Renault Nissan Technology and Business Centre India Pvt Ltd has begun research work in the area of battery. The centre, housed in the Mahindra World City Industrial Zone near Chennai, will work on developing technologies in lead acid and lithium batteries, Mr Haruyoshi Kumura, Director, Nissan Science Foundation, told journalists here on Tuesday.

The centre supports Nissan and Renault (which are associate companies) in a variety of activities, including product development. With 1,500 technical people working in it, the centre works in the areas of advanced computer aided engineering, electronics and basic research. It is in under the third category that the centre has begun work on batteries.

The work done at the centre, which was set up with investment of Rs 65 crore, is used by the Nissan-Renault system worldwide.... [News Source]
