What's wrong with it? It's a funicular railway rather than a standard metro. It climbs almost 300m along its length!

While it is currently a streetcar system, the TECO line in Tampa, Florida (USA) is equipped to be interchangeable with LRT vehicles and may eventually be upgraded for them. This is one of the largest stations on the system, the Dick Greco Plaza.

There's another Moscow station in the "pseudo-hi-tech" style, Myakinino.
(my photos)

Seems miscladded, but this "rural hi-tech" style has in common with the fact that the station is outside the Moscow territory.

Another one, Gor'kovskaya, in St. Petersburg is the old one but with rebuilt modern upper hall.

It's exactly because of the "brutal, unforgiving concrete" that I was just about to reply you "no way!"

I like it. All it needs is a better roof.

Not exactly a subway station but it's the only train station in Sydney I like, because of the nice harbour view.

That is quite a view. I love the glass fare gates at Moscow's system.

there are a few. the new south ferry stop on the 1 train is pretty nice. the new fulton st stations and the WTC path stations will be pretty amazing. the roosevelt island station has a 1950's scyfi vibe to it lol.

i'm currently far too lazy to search for pictures though.

This is Olympic Park Station in Sydney - one of my favourite modern stations. I found these on the net as I don't have any of my own.

Must say I'm pleasantly surprisied by Los Angeles's efforts here: since it is a city which has developed a very bad reputation for previously shutting its PT systems down.

I once saw an old map of what Los Angeles did have. They sure got rid of a lot! LA was criss-crosed with an amazing amount of rail/tram lines.

I'm going to add North Melbourne to the list. This station sees a lot of action during the day, though it mostly serves as a transfer point as there's not a lot in the vicinity of the station; mostly old factories and other rail lines.

Melbourne's blessed with many surviving old Victorian-era stations, which I'll get around to posting pictures of one day.

I'm not a big fan of L.A., but that subway was truly remarcable!
