will add these - mostly gastown and the DTES - taken by me today - on a day that was grey/rainy one hour than sunny the next than rain than sun...

the north end of granville

gastown - these buildings have all been redone over the last few years

outside

backside

coffee shop set to open in the space at the left

looking south to blood alley

much more modern now - used to be all old wordly before they renovated looks good now

looking east...

blood alley

stumbled across some filming
my friend used to live in one of these lofts they were very big and cool but lots of vagrants in the alley - people tried to break in often to the units hence the bars

looking north

recently redone - was a crappy corner store and chicken place

woodwards

hastings street - this block or most of it has been redone - for years it was boarded up and neglected - life is coming back some are happy soem aren't - it looks good though

forget the street cambie i think - used often in TV shows and movies...

cordova street

looking back east to woodwards

the flame is back for the paralympics - no crowds though

3 of the 4 corners have coffee places - this one is usually the best most prefer it to starbucks which is on one of the corners...

an interesting little plaza hidden off an alleyway

looking north down thurlow to the flame

the shangri-la in reflection...

love these plants

pink snow

don't park under them

not too crowded at robson square/VAG

quite dead

as aster4000 said, your photos are really impressive
and you impress me more with how you compose your subjects.
keep on doing that pal...

I'd never been to the olympic village that close and I'm thinking of
going there once I get back my cam.

dog in the fountain

grace in the middle...

one of my fave parks in the city

that is social housing on the left

grace courtyard

park is undergoing an expansion - the lowrises on the left of the pic will be gone soon hopefully...

Dogwood - BC's official flower

people pay over $300,000 and get an alley view

a row of old houses - 2 furthest left not too visible were just added - moved from another location

thank heaven for 7-11

on the south side or fairview just near the olympic village station

we could use more of this for the rain

looking east to the olympic village

this area - fairview - reminds me of san francisco
