Really liking this thread mate. Shows the city bouncing back quite well, everyone happy and enjoying the great summer weve been having. In these shots you would never know what happened to us less than 6 months ago.

So I take it you guys didnt get a chance to go out to the beach this time? Did you just stay in the cbd?

I am very, very happy that your enjoying the thread of your hometown Like I said before, one would never guess that there was such a devastating earthquake, it looks as if the buildings are being renovated

We had very little time, one can spend days in Christchurch and still not see everything, we will definitely stay for longer next time and drive out into the countryside - Hamner Springs etc. I can't wait to be back in CHC

I was full of relief when I saw that the damage wasn't that great, many heritage buildings are still standing and some can be fixed. For an earthquake of that magnitude it could have been a lot worse. I am sure that you will love the city if you went back now. Thanks for all the great comments mate, I appreciate it immensely

We also have some hideous towns (such as Huntly) and generally every town that starts with the word Te (like Te Puke ) ..... for the most they are very well maintained and we are very lucky in NZ to have such good governance

As for men, there are also some creatures out there that you don't want to stand to close to they are enough to make you straight Thanks for all the comments sweet pea
