^I think the thing Tel Aviv has on both of those cities is that it's a naturally-grown city that is dense, so the Manhattanization of Tel Aviv would be more "true" than just a smattering of skyscrapers built in the middle of nothing like in the case of at least Dubai. There's more to Manhattan than just its tall buildings, certainly.

You can't compare Dubai and Doha to Tel Aviv. Why Dubai and Doha have wonderful skylines? Because they have oil, and oil is money. Anyway, they didn't build all that buildings. The Americans and the Europeans built them all because of the oil and the money.
Here in Tel Aviv, we have no oil like in Doha and Dubai, but we have Israeli-made skyscrapers. And also, Dubai and Doha are located in the arid and hot desert, isolated, with no metropolitan area surrounding them. I saw photos of those cities, and the skyscrapers are look so bad on the desert. Tel Aviv established on sand dunes but they have no sign anymore if you compare it to Doha and Dubai. Tel Aviv has a metropolitan area, it has green areas, parks, flowers, trees and more everywhere! This is the reason why Tel Aviv is the middle eastern Manhattan

I am not trying to say which city is best or to make a judgement call on how the buildings are financed. I think most of us here can agree on this much. But if we are talking about "Manhattan"-like strictly in the sense of a skyline, then I think cities like Dubai, Doha, and Kuwait City are probably ahead of Tel Aviv. They have (a) taller buildings; (b) higher density of skyscrapers; and (c) nicer, more ambitious architecture (in some cases). I think that most of Tel Aviv's skyscrapers have boring, cheap and unoriginal designs, and also, Tel Aviv's skyscrapers tend to be spaced out across the city, as opposed to Dubai, Doha and Kuwait City, which have some impressive clusters of skyscrapers and high-rise buildings.

a) I think that the tall isn't a character here
b) you right here, but Tel Aviv has the plan of the CBD which will include many tall buildings and the density will be in Tel Aviv also
c) In some cases only

and more thing:
1) Architecture in Tel Aviv is starting to have more intersting architecture, like the FIB Tower, Sea One Tower and more... Anyway, it has the White City architecture which covers on the towers architecture
2) Remember that if you were looking on Dubai/Doha/Kuwait City of 10 years ago, you were thinking that you're in middle of nowhere.
3) And remember that Manhattan isn't only towers

I think that the Tower Time arrived to Tel Aviv, and we will see more towers in Tel Aviv

Israel is already a ME superpower! It must have an imposing presentation to reflect its strength, modernity and agility.

The best thing about Tel Aviv is that it is an open city which grew organically.

It is a center of ideas, life styles and is full of life, thus restricting skyscrapers would kill a part of that city. Part of the charm of Tel Aviv is that it is organic and somehow chaotic (though it works) and I prefer it over city-museums where everything is so restricted that it looks more like Disneyland.

However, historical buildings should be preserved and are in order not to forget the vision of the founders of Tel Aviv, and the History and achievements of the city and the country as a whole.

Seems like there's another tower on Rotschild Blvd on the way

( future Tel Aviv Ritz-Cartlon hotel):
