Church of Anini-y, Antique

Located some 80 kilometers out of Iloilo City, this town is the southernmost among all in the island of Panay. What facinates me though is that despite being the center of the strong earthquakes that toppled some of the magnificent churches in Panay, it is still standing as it was when it was finished more than a century ago.

The INC Tondo house of worship on Luna and Moriones Streets in Manila is currently undergoing renovation. Fernando Nakpil-Zialcita in hs article "A Skyscape of Spires" in The Filipino Heritage: The Making of A Nation, says that the towers of this worship edifice echo those of Muslim minarets. Though finished in the 1960's, this house of prayer in that populous district of Manila remains one of the Church's largest with a seating capacity of 5,000.

Well, I wanted to say that anyway. I've also expressed it when you posted one of them at the FPC. Just got too sleepy to post my appreciation (took some time to upload my photos and post them, you know).

I do not post to counter-post. You can see that I sometimes do a series of posts. Maybe the timing is bad and I apologize if others feel that way.

It's just a passion. There are things we tend to overdo because we enjoy doing them or feel strongly for them. I believe that as long as I am not violating any rule, going against good conduct or violating another's human dignity then we can enjoy our freedom.
