Wow! I am impressed! Never realised that there are so many exciting projects in Krakow! Kind of a shame, especially as I am nearly from there!

I'm really worried about some of these old town projects in Krakow.

Aren't there any conventions for this area? Like proper roofs and window schemes?

Some of these boxes shown above are really horrible.

(would be nice if you could reduce the number of projects to a max. of 3 per post, btw.)

Quality of new projects in Kraków is often disputed, but all developments mentioned on this page are located outside historical Old Town area. Buildings in other historical districts are designed properly IMO. The one in Kazimierz got proper roof and window schemes and buildings in post-industrial Podgórze (Cricoteka and Podgórze Apartments) will create really cool waterfront.

The problem is with developments around Old Town and in modern disticts- requlations there are not so strict, so there is really a problem with quality of architecture.

Well, the caption by the user said "Some other apartment houses in the historic city center",
followed by horrible abominations... And I recognized some of these places which indeed are in the old town.

The new building in the Jewish quarter could be acceptable, but somehow,
even there modernists fail to fulfill their task with dignity (no proper classical window scheme here):

Dunno, it's rather soulless. Androgyne almost.

In order:

Rakowicka street
Lwowska street (Podgórze)
Plac na Groblach 5
Pawia street

None of them inside Old Town area.

All of them are surrounded by 19th and early 20th century buildings. The worst localization is Plac na Groblach - it is really close to the Wawel Castle. On the other hand that building is less controversial then the other ones IMO.

I agree about other projects.

erbse, the project you show above, to me, seems quite ok. This is just my first impression as I have not seen more detailed renders of it. At least it's not some crazy experimental design.
