Yes. Citta Di Mare the way I understood, is a soon-to-be business-residential district/complex within SRP.

It's similar to SM Bay City (Mall of Asia) complex which got separate threads for SM Residences, E-com Towers, the mall itself, etc.

In any case, it would be much easier for forumers to find timely updates relevant to this condominium project by having its own thread.

i believe we have to have a separate thread for this sir coz there are different developments within Citta di Mare unlike Aboitiz's The Persimmon that only encompasses residential condominium projects. CDM includes a entertainment and lifestyle strip (Il Corso), residential (Amalfi Oasis) and the Piazza.

residential projects like this that take up so much space ought to be built in the suburbs...what a waste of taxpayers money...spending billions of our money so that some rich farts can build another one of their enclaves...

the city should make this road into a four lane each direction in anticipation for the projected traffic in this area once citta di mare and sm and other business establishments are in place. in ten years 3 lanes will slow down the traffic in that area which will soon be a major thoroughfare.

FLI to break ground for Amalfi Oasis in SRP today

CEBU, Philippines – Filinvest Land Incorporated and the Cebu City government will break ground today for the first residential cluster of the Citta di Mare development project at the South Road Properties.

Amalfi Oasis is Filinvest's first offering of mid-rise condominium units in Citta di Mare's 40-hectare residential zone and will be comprised of 10 to 12 buildings of at least five storeys in height.

It is aptly named after its inspiration - a quaint seaside Italian community named Amalfi. Like its namesake, Amalfi Oasis is a perfect location where one can enjoy the coastal scenery and also the spectacular views of the mountains.

Citta di Mare, literally "the City by the Sea" is inspired by the charm of Italian coastal cities and captures the charms of resort living with its majestic views of Mactan's coast and Cebu's mountains. Citta di Mare is a fitting depiction of what the company stands for - a vision of fulfilling dreams and dream lifestyles. Spanning 50.6 hectares at Cebu's South Road Properties, Citta di Mare is a world-class, master-planned city development composed of three different zones catering to a wide array of lifestyles and activities including the Il Corso, the 10-hectare waterfront lifestyle strip; the 40-hectare residential clusters; and the 6-hectare Piazza within the residential clusters.

Amalfi Oasis will contain various mid-rise residential condominium building clusters interspersed with generous open spaces. Only 35% of the residential zone will be used as building footprints, the 65% of the land are dedicated for parks, tree-lined path walks, jogging trails, bike lanes and spot parks as gaps between residential buildings.

Each cluster of condominium buildings will have its own set of amenities, including a swimming pool, jogging trails, bike lanes and spot parks as gaps between residential buildings.

Access to buildings and parking areas are limited to the perimeter of residential blocks making the entire residential area literally car-free.

The Amafi building 1 will be constructed within a 12 month period and Filinvest projects to complete the building and turnover the units by December 2011.

Amalfi Oasis is now accepting inquiries and reservations. The number of interested prospects who signified their intention to reserve in Building 1 was overwhelming. Almost all units in Building 1 have already been accounted for. Filinvest is also ready to open Amalfi Building 2 to interested prospects.

Amalfi buildings 1 and 2 offer two-bedroom units (57 sqm) and three-bedroom units (113 sqm).
