I don't think it has a stadium built for football, if that's what you mean. Because of the lack of interest for the sport (the fact that our National team just won its first match in the Tiger Cup after almost a decade of participation). Though if they do play in Metro Manila, my guess would be in Rizal Memorial.

We have facilities like the Rizal Memorial Stadium and the ULTRA Football Field where soccer can be played.
But these are more like 60s and 70s style soccer stadiums where the spectator stands are just on one side of field or are just several rows high. We do not have the mega-stadiums. But I think we do have some big soccer stadiums in Iloilo and Negros provinces where interest in soccer is so high.

Aside from the influence of the Spanish mestizo families and institutions (of which there are so many in Iloilo/Bacolod), interest in soccer is high there in the Western Visayas partly because of the large number of British/Scottish expats who settled in Iloilo in the mid to late 1800s while the Panay railroad was being built. The Brits/Scots also built the country's first department store and first golf course in Iloilo City.

That is correct.
That is why if the Philippines aims to assemble a truly world-class (or even region-class) football team that can slug it out with the rest of the world in the World Cup Qualifiers or even the Tiger Cup, the logical first step should be to scout around for exceptional talent in Iloilo, the Negros Provinces and yes, Bacolod.

Yeah, i watched in one of the TV shows, that in some provinces like Negros, you'd find more kids playing/kicking soccer balls than shooting hoops. Kinda strange for one who lives in Metro Manila. hehe.
On Topic: Soccer stadium? Only Rizal Memorial and ULTRA comes to my mind. There are a lot of soccer fields though. Almost every major college/university in the country has its own soccer field. |

UST got a pretty huge field too, the one across the basketball stadium. My cousin said it was used for football.
My old school (St. Benedict College) also got a huge field. But the grass was usually dead.

Philippine Stadiums
I haven't visited other stadiums in the Phil, and want to see what they look like. I've googled it but can't find pictures only a list from www.worldstadiums.com. So if you have pictures lying around , you could maybe post them here

Man, we don't have much outdoor stadiums, at least in Manila. Though I do know Bene has quite a new one, and that Marikina Sports Complex is quite a good one from what I've heard.
But everywhere else, they're building stadiums, indoor and outdoor. Bravo.
