WUXI | Huaxi Dragon | 638m | 2093ft | 128fl | Pro

Can mods please change the title to 638m | 2093ft | 128 fl Thanks

Huaxi Dragon Tower

Height: 638m
Floors: 128
Location: Wuxi Jiangyin Bund (south bank on the Yangtze river front)
Developer: Huaxi Group
Estimated cost: 15 billion RMB

A press conference in February 2010 revealed that they have narrowed it down to 4 designs, all of them around the 638m-650m / 128fl-129fl range.
The final selection is yet to be announced

Design 1

Design 2

Design 3

Design 4

The press conference itself

If it goes according to plan, Huaxi Dragon will become the world's second tallest building, and China's tallest.
A CBD along the Yangtze waterfront next to this tower is also planned with numerous buildings of more than 100m. This is part of an effort to put Jiangyin on the map.

More renders on the various proposals (some are rejected, some look similar to the final 4)

Hard to say really. After all this IS the company (Huaxi Group) that's building the Farmer's Apartment

Incredible, isn't it? I wonder how will they find enough clients to fill it.

I like the pointy end proposal, looks like a smaller Nakheel Tower, but by golly, it's still massive. That's like another 600+m project for a Chinese city being announced this week, the first being Guangzhou.

Hate to say it, but the continuation of these kind of projects are likely creating a massive property bubble. Cool design though, for me it would be choice between the first two designs. Number 1's probably the best.

i like no 2. The rest don't look really original. This tower will be by the river side? I hope they start building a cbd around it, like Pudong or something like that and not like BJ where it sits by itself. Can't wait for the CBD renders

Sort of, but not that close. Farmer's Apartments is right in the middle of downtown Huaxi village, whereas this tower is on the Yangtze waterfront. They are about 14km apart.
