Berlin - Gendarmenmarkt. One of the most beautiful and well compositioned market squares of Europe.

wheres the market stalls etc.?

is there a difference between a town/city square and a market square? i think there is.

for example trafalgar square couldn't be a market square but these images just look like a trafalgar equivelant.

Brussels: Grand Place / Grote Markt.
Used to be the main market square in Brussels. Now there's a daily flower market and it's Brussels' main square.

My hometown:
Okey I know it's a shame that it is a giant parking lot but I still find it ok...
Second biggest market square in Belgium.
Sint-Truiden:

In the 17th century they build the old city hall and belfry tower in the middle of the square. Spliting the market up in the Groen markt(green market where the farmers selled there products) and grote markt(Great market).
