the zawra park has changed a lot since I was there.. they added lots of new rides, but i wonder what happened to the old ones that i went on when i was a kid ?!

I remember that it was much greener back when I was a kid, I hope they'll continue their rehabilitation effort.

Thats good in a way because not much money would have been spent on the project so it can be used elsewhere.

Also, opinions over Iraqi buildings will always be disputed since the style of architecture used varies so much. It's either traditional historic looking or weird eccentric looking buildings, very rarely do we have normal glass buildings lol (Iraqi Kurdistan is most probably an exception to this rule)

Great videos, so is the theatre more popular than cinema in Iraq?

Yes i gathered because i have never really heard about the movies in Iraq, well hopefully with so many television channels opening, audiences may be gripped to foreign as well as local movies that may kick start the film industry in Iraq and so demand in cinemas may be on the rise, who knows.

well satellite TV and internet has actually reduced any chance of cinemas operating in iraq for the forseeable future. The old cinemas are completely dillapidated single-screen 1930s-1970s type cinemas.

Once large shopping malls are built, there may be a cinema revival in Iraq in modern multiplex-type cinemas. But that is a fair few years away still.

Hmm thats interesting i would have thought otherwise but i do hope some start cropping up since it can provide as an enjoyable getaway for many of the locals.
