It's just a render! We don't know if it's the official one, I'll try to find something in the moroccan press!

As you know, anyone can't say Morocco is a rich country but it tries to build a stadium which is difficult for even European football powers to build. Their effort for better football stadium can't be praised too much.

May Allah bless Morocco football.
Wow, I wasn't expecting this from you at all, you're so adorable, thank you so much for your support

Yup, I'd buy it, and say that is very similar if not exactly the seating bowl going forward.

But why should it have a track.
There is already a big stadium with a track

BTW field dimension is 105*68m Its standard. Nou Camp has got 105*68. Every big stadium has got 105*68

Sorry to kill the enthousiasm here but this project is not gonna be built. It's clearly said on the Youth and Sport Ministry website.

Which basically means "With the achievments of the Tanger and Marrakech stadium in 2010 and the Agadir's one in 2011, it has been decided to not continue this project..."

I told you this would happen. That's a good thing seeing that the interior is ruined. But someday if this project is revived, this will have a track.

This thread should be closed.

In a few months this thread will move frome "proposed" to "under construction". Morocco wants to host African Cup Nations 2015. According to CAF we just need 4 stadiums. Tunisia hosted it in 2004 with 6 stadiums (4 under 25,000). We will host it with 8 stadiums, 7 up 45 000 (Casa 80 000 and 60 000, Rabat 52 000, Fes, Tanger, Agadir and Marrakech 45 000, Oujda 35 000).

We will made it a popular party. And show to the world that we can host a WC.

There is only one candidate : Morocco (Kenya wants but know that it you will be difficult, and Algeria wantes but they have to host junior CAN at least one time). The candidate country will be designed in september 2010. The Casablanca big stadium construction will begin few weeks after or maybe before.

Still do not want a disappointing white elephant rectangular Grand Stadium though. If it is built this way, damage will have been done. What, do you want me to just tear down the goal stands to put in a track. I like the first project better, change it back. When will construction begin again?

And I think you mean African Cup of Nations 2016.

the construction will began in september or octobre
in 2015 we will do an african cup with 8 big stadiums , 8 cities , never done before
we will also bid for the FIFA WC U-20

and this thread will not be closed , its in the proposed section , but in a few months it will switch to U-C section

GO Morocco
