baghdad and KRG are destroying each other in an endless tit for tat, the only victims are the people of iraq (regardless where they live).

KRG should setup its own ATC system and cover its airspace accordingly. I don't see why Iraq should provide Kurdistan with ATC coverage.

fuck them all we dont need visas from th ...now Iraq is slowly developing they are going to beg us for visas and oil when they run out of oil ... i cant wait for the day Iraq rises up above all these scroaty arab countries AGAIN

sinjar. he was talking about arab countries not kurdistan. and geologically speaking Iraq still has far more "new" potential than Kurdistan, but that's another topic.

I have a question, Iraq is deploying airplanes to move Iraqi refugees from Syria to Iraq. I know there is the PM's plane, but what other planes do we have? IA is short on aircrafts you know. Of course, we also have our C-130s but they are only 3! So how r they doing this?

they've got 5-6 CRJs, 4-5 B737s etc... I donno if they had to cancel some scheduled flights in order to free up aircraft for this?

maybe they're using some air force C130s?

For this flight they used the CRJ-900 YI-AQD, I think they only used the CRJs.

Iraq Cabinet Approves $500 Million To End Kuwait Airline Dispute
Iraq’s Cabinet agreed to allocate $500 million from the budget to resolve a dispute with Kuwait over the debts of Iraqi Airways, State Minister Ali al-Dabbagh said.
The Cabinet asked parliament to approve the allocation of $300 million from the 2012 budget and another $200 million the following year, al-Dabbagh said in an e-mailed statement today. Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki announced an agreement with Kuwait to end the dispute in March.
State-run Kuwait Airways Corp. has been seeking $1.2 billion in compensation for 10 aircraft taken during former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein’s invasion of Kuwait in 1990. Maliki agreed to pay $300 million in compensation to the carrier and another $200 million to establish a joint airline with Kuwait, which will contribute a similar amount.
Iraq still owes Kuwait about $20 billion as a result of that invasion. It is paying into a United Nations compensation fund even as its economy tries to recover from decades of conflict, sanctions and sabotage, nine years after the U.S.-led invasion that ousted Hussein.
