No, it's not the First Order headquarters. It's Singuerlín station, on L9.
The image was taken from inside one of the lifts (I believe?), looking down.

News!

The catalan government, in collaboration with Barcelona city council, will restart the works in L10 South (between Can Tries | Gornal and Zona Franca industrial park) the next 15th February. The two institutions will pay 50%-50% of the construction.

(orange line (L9 Sud) opens at 12-02-2016, and blue line (L10 Sud) is the line which they will restart the works).

A view of the Zona Franca-ZAL depot.
This depot serves the southern branches of L9 and L10, and next to it, in hindsight, there is the yet-unifinished Zona Franca-ZAL L10 station, end of L10.

But L10 between Can Tries-Gornal and Zona Franca-ZAL won't open despite trains using it in all of its length, they will use it only as a technical branch.

Neighbours in the Zona Franca (more than 50,000 people) are fuming about it...

So, what's left to do on L10 Sud?

Stations aren't finished. Bits of signalling are missing too. And I think that on the underground section of L10, trains can run only on one of the tracks, I don't know wether the other has rails missing or not, I can't confirm anything yet.

Besides, the main issue that keeps L10 from opening, is... money.
And big money, because there is one CRUCIAL thing that's left: rolling stock. They have not enough trains.

They could easily bring class 9000 trains that are now running on L2 and L4, and which were delivered on time.
But as they were delivered on time, they had no L9/L10 to run on, so they were sent to L2 instead, where they replaced class 2100 trains, which in turn were sent to L4 where, together with a few more class 9000, they replaced old class 1100 trains, which were in turn scrapped because there was no room for them in the depot.
And so, class 1100 trains were scrapped and now there's not enough rolling stock to open L10...

So if they brought all class 9000 trains to the Can Zam and Zona Franca-ZAL depots, L4 wouldn't have enough trains, and L2 would have no trains at all.

And this is why it opens just as a technical branch, the way to the depot.

Line 10 has four elevated stations in the port area (possibly the Metro's first elevated stations?). Upon measuring the stations on Google Earth, I'm guessing the platform length of all the Barcelona Metro's stations is 120 metres, or possibly 80 metres. I'm not sure which.

Plus, about the issues with the elevated Line 10 stations, I hate when opposition prevents a new metro line from opening after all that money spent to construct that section of Line 10.

L1-L5 and L9-L10 operate with 5-car trains, the standard platform length on those lines is 90 meters. Platforms can be easily extended in L9/L10, if necessary, as they are built within the tunnel.

The southern part of L10 has not opened yet due to lack of funding, there is no opposition against the project, there is just no money to buy new rolling stock (even if they finish the remaining stations).

Elevated? Let's say yes, if we consider it's on a viaduct.

But L1 between Santa Eulalia and Mercat Nou leaves me wondering wether it could be considered "elevated" or not (it's on an embankment).
It was built between 1926 and 1932.

90 metres on all lines but L1 and L11. Five-car trains. Although platforms can be longer than that, reaching 100 metres.

Opposition? No, that's not the case, it's lack of money.

This map shows the state of the works on L9/L10.
It's interesting because it shows the degree of execution of the stations.

Not sure the map is very up to date, Zona Universitaria will open in four days...

-Camp Nou at 75% of civil engineering.

L9 branch Can Tries Gornal-Aeroport T1:

-Terminal de Càrrega at 100% of civil engineering, and 98% of architecture.
-La Ribera the same.
Could it be that the missing 2% of architecture were the platform screen doors?

L10 branch Can Tries Gornal-Polígon Pratenc:

-Provençana at 99% of civil engineering, and 15% of architecture.
-Ildefons Cerdà, Foneria y Foc, the same.

-Motors at 10% of civil engineering.

-the four stations on the viaduct, at 100%.

The section Zona Franca ZAL-Polígon Pratenc hasn't been started.

Northern sector (L9/L10 Sagrera-Bon Pastor-Can Zam/Gorg, and L4 La Pau-Sagrera):

-Sagrera L9/L10 definitive station at 100% (the current L9/L10 Sagrera station is provisory, and it will end up being the terminus of L4 when extended from La Pau).

-Sagrera-AVE L9/L10 and Sagrera-AVE L4 at 100%.

Could they reactivate L4 works whenever they wanted, once they bought new rolling stock for L4?

To finish the L4 extension between La Pau and Sagrera they only have Santander station and a tunnel section of around 500m left to build.

Central sector (L9/L10 Sagrera-Zona Universitaria):

-Plaça Maragall at 97% of civil engineering.
-Guinardó L9/L10 at 95% of civil engineering.
-Sanllehy at 42% of civil engineering.
-Muntanya/Travessera de Dalt not started.
-Lesseps L9/L10 at 92% of civil engineering.
-El Putxet at 18% of civil engineering.
-Mandri at 23% of civil engineering.
-Sarrià at 14% of civil engineering.
-Prat de la Riba at 1% of civil engineering.
-Manuel Girona not started.
-Campus Nord at 6% of civil engineering.

The section between Manuel Girona and Lesseps stations hasn't been tunnelled yet.

L9 | Southern extension (Zona Universitaria-Aeroport T1).

Test runs with passengers.

From Collblanc to Aeroport T1 (on the upper track):

From Cèntric to Collblanc (on the lower track):

1100 series trains looked clearly life-expired, especially as virtually all TMB trains that I have seen are now walk-through.

They were very old, yes, but they could have held on to them for a little longer until they found the money to buy new rolling stock, they were quite reliable trains.
The problem was that there was no room for them in the depots.

Yes, as now both depots for L9 and L10 are ready (Can Zam in the northern section and Zona Franca in the southern section).

New class 9000 trains wich were originally ordered for L9 and L10 had to go to the depot used by L2 and L4 (Triangle Ferroviari), as those trains were ready on time, while construction of L9 and L10 was suffering huge delays.

Consequently, they decided that new class 9000 trains would entirely replace class 2100 trains in L2, while those class 2100 trains were transferred to L4, where, together with some extra class 9000 trains, they entirely replaced old class 1100 trains, which were subsequently scrapped.

Ok, clear. I guess as the result of all this you did at least lower the average age of trains in the system significantly. How old approximately are now the oldest trains still in service?
