Luxury Avenue is a mall.

NY'S FINEST

BERGDORF GOODMAN

SAKS FIFTH AVENUE

I know there are people who frequent Barney's, Bloomingdales, etc but these two I think are more familiar to locals and tourists alike

As fabulous as Daslu appears, it is such a symbol of the elitism that exists in Brazil! Don't get me wrong, Brazil is my favourite country in the world, but I have been to Daslu a number of times and it's elitism is obscene!!!

I think Daslu is kind of tacky. I have no doubt that what it sells is luxurious, but when I see the images, it doesn't invites me in :/.

Not surprising - it's actually a monument to bad taste!!

Re your comment that Brazil is your favourite country in the world, I am intrigued as to why you say this. How many countries have you visited and what are the attributes in Brazil that place it above all others?

I love Brazil because it is physically beautiful as a country, because their cities are the most exciting in the world, but also because there is so much passion, excitement, and genuine friendliness in the people I have met there. Most of my close friends are Brazilian. You can walk into a bar and not know anyone there, and receive a welcome unlike anywhere else - people are genuinely interested in your story, especially if you show an interest in theirs.
I have been lucky to have lived in UK, USA, Brazil, Japan, China, France, Jordan, UAE, Australia, and Colombia, and I have travelled to about 50 others for work or holidays.
But I am also not blind to the extreme social injustices in Brazilian society, and the way that the upper class there has no problem flaunting it to their own people. I believe that the Brazilian people deserve better than the ruling class who harvest the country for all that it's worth.

I would like to share pictures of Daimaru department store at Ratchaprasong intersection, Bangkok. It was opened in 1966. And at that time its main rival is the Central department store.

Here’s a good video (made by someone from Los Angeles) that shows the interior.
There are brands like Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Burberry, Ralph Lauren, Dior, etc. .
