I don't see Sao Paulo, Rio and Buenos Aires in the list. There are lots of tall building in Sao Paulo but it seems none are above 200 meters.

It's likely that there's nothing 200m or taller (roof height) in those 3 cities. They do have tons of high-rises, but they're all on the 'short' side.

Yep, the 200m club really narrows the field and Houston and Los Angeles get a lot more respect.

Agree 100%, Houston and Los Angeles don't get much mention in north America. Panama City is ranked 10th, that's a bit of a shocker. Atlanta is another city with good height. Toronto is heavily skewed towards high rises between 30 - 150 m, but not like some other cities. Vancouver doesn't make this list at all!

Wow.. the list is so different from the usual top skylines...

lots of cities I did not expect to be in the list.
It's so different, I like it.

I am most surprised that among the 5 South East Asian cities, Bangkok is last! I have expected it to be first.
Jakarta is 2nd! really big surprise!

*ASEAN cities - Bangkok, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Manila and Jakarta

Yes, it's been interesting to see how much things have changed in the last 2 years. I also thought Bangkok would be first among SE Asian countries. Maybe the Bangkok numbers aren't up to date?

Panama City (21), Abu Dhabi (17), Dalian (16), Doha (16), and Shenyang (14) were surprises as well. My prediction: Mumbai will rocket into the top 10 over the next 2 years.

always thought Panama City was underrated. that one year it built mostly all of its tallest buildings and jumped from not much to a top skyline, but under the radar of most people since none of the buildings were actually taller than 300m. also mumbai won't stay in that bubble for long

Chicago has 27. Why did you change the number to 26? Which of those 27 buildings has a spire?

Panama City (21), Abu Dhabi (17), Dalian (16), Doha (16), and Shenyang (14) were surprises as well. My prediction: Mumbai will rocket into the top 10 over the next 2 years.
Expect London to jump up the chart over the next 5 years:

Completed & T/O (6)
1. The Shard: 310m
2. One Canada Square: 235m
3. Heron Tower: 230m
4. Leadenhall Building: 225m (T/O)
5. 8 Canada Square: 200m
6. 25 Canada Square: 200m

U/C (2)
7. The Pinnacle: 288m (On Hold)
8. Riverside South Tower 1: 237m

Approved (7)
9. Columbus Tower: 237m
10. The Pride: 233m
11. North Quay Tower 1: 221m
12. Wood Wharf W07B: 206m
13. North Quay Tower 3: 203m
14. One Nine Elms East Tower: 200m
15. Lansdowne Road Tower: 200m

Proposed (4)
16. The Three Spires: 253m
17. South Quay Plaza Tower 1: 250m
18. Diamond Tower: 212m
19. 30 Marsh Wall: 205m

It's good to see London with a decent slate of 200m+ buildings to look forward to. I'm not sure it that will be enough to move up much though.
