The boxy aesthetic is the best feature.

Just read the public submissions on the Atchison St. tower and there wasn't one submission which supports it. There were 29 submissions, and they were all written by NIMBYs saying their normal excuses such as view blocking and being too tall, with one person saying that St. Leonards is a place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city (WTF?!?!). Many of those NIMBYs live in the forum, where their apartments overshadow others.

Any submission opposing the Atchinson Street tower due to the "loss of views" will more than likely be ignored.
St Leonards is a satellite city of Sydney, so those living there should expect a few talls to be built from time to time. And when you think of it - St Leonards isn't really quiet. Crows Nest is nearby and people go there to dine and shop. During business hours, the streets team with workers and there Royal North Shore Hospital is open 24/7.

A crane has gone up on the east side of St. Leonards station, noticed while on the train. I assume/hope it's for 6-16 Atchinson St?
Also has 88 Christie St made any progress yet? It's the 65m office tower, renders on page 2. |

The concept plan for 88 Christie Street (office building) has been approved by planning NSW.

The joint regional planning panel will determine a D/A for 619 Pacific Highway. The proposal calls for a 15 storey mixed use tower. A 7 storey tower currently occupies the site.

There have been ads for that development for a month now in the Real Estate liftouts.
