If I am led to believe that the view corridors as part of Barangaroo will ensure that they keep views.

The current building (at left of shots, chopped off in the second shot) will soon be demolished.

Another biggie is on the cards for St Leonards.
A D/A has been lodged for an 18 storey apartment tower with 72 apartments and 33 serviced apartments at 621 Pacific Highway.

Promising. Hope the reality is as crisply detailed as the render indicates. So, who is the architect?

That looks quite good!
There is a fair bit of activity starting to occur in St Leonards; 6-16 Atchinson Street, 88 Christie Street & a rumoured residential tower nearby (forgotten the address), now 621 Pacific Highway.

It will be sad to see the AKAI Building go because its one of the early highrises in the suburb but it is tiny these days when compared to its neighbours.

AKAI Building is a great example of its time, I think it has some heritage value. St Leonard's has a pretty small high rise area, yet they are destroying existing high rises?? Damn councils and their anti-density attitudes.

I hate the AKAI tower!
I hate everything about this building, especially the fuck-off wall on the street!
