What are the most famous buildings in these European countries?

I'm intending to produce a montaged skyline using the most recognised buildings from the following countries:

UK
Finland
Norway
Sweden
Switzerland
Ireland
Denmark
Germany
Austria
Belgium
The Netherlands
France
Luxembourg
Italy
Portugal
Spain
Greece

In order to do this i need to know what people are the most recognised building in each country. For example, Big Ben in London for the UK and the Fernsehturm in Berlin for Germany.

I'd greatly appreciate if anyone could inform me of these or any of them individually.

In the Netherlands we don't have any famous buildings that are really known by foreigners.

We only have the windmills which you can find in the whole country.

For Denmark it's a tough one.
In regional historic aspect, it would be Kronborg, for it's financial importance (at one point, sound dues collected at the castle, accounted for two thirds of the entire danish budget).
In a national historic aspect, Frederiksborg Slot would probably range higher.
In a part religious, part royal aspect it would probably be Roskilde Cathedral.

If it has to be easily identifiable, I would probably use either Roskilde Cathedral or even better, Church of our saviour (Vor Frelsers kirke), with it's iconic spire:

Finland- Any of Aalto's finest works would probably be better known than Helsinki's cathedral I think (whose style isn't that unique, after all).

Sweden- Turnin' Torso is a nice and representative modern icon, I think it's easily the most recognizable building there nowadays.

Portugal- Belem tower fits well for this purpose.

Spain- The most iconic building in the country is without any doubt Granada's Alhambra probably followed by Cordoba's Mosque and El Escorial.

Arc de Triomphe is way more iconic than Versailles. Everyone would at least know the shape of that arch or recognise it immediately. It's the culmination point of Champs Elysees, the most known avenue in the world. But how many could tell you something about the look of that palace? It's much more of a name, most have heard of once.
If you mention Chartres Cathedral, you would have to mention Amiens, Rouen, Reims or Strasbourg as well...

Rialto Brigde, together with the Campanile and Doges Palace are much more iconic than the cathedral. At least outside of Italy...

Come on, everyone knows that square and monument:

He is looking for buildings. How do you want him to integrate this square into a skyline montage???

Thanks very much for all the replies so far, really appreciate it.

It's interesting how so many different ideas on single countries people have suggested.
