Overview

Vattanac Capital is Phnom Penh's most prestigious commercial address. Rising to 187.3m, this landmark development is designed and constructed to the highest international standards for Cambodia's emerging business and leisure community.

The building, which will be LEED certified, consists of two impressive towers and a glass and steel podium; Vattanac Capital Tower 1 is a 38 floor skyscraper with Grade A offices, luxury retail and world-class serviced apartments. Office
The two office towers provide whole floors of 1,461 to 1,769 sq.m. which can be subdivided into office suites of 100 sq.m. This development, which will be LEED certified, will satisfy the demands of multi-national occupiers.

Retail
32 retail units spread over 3 floors, set within a podium with up to 28.8m ceiling height with air conditioning and large open space. The design has been carefully considered to create a range of retail services, zoned to enhance the retail experience.

An internationally branded serviced apartment operator will be selected to manage a luxury serviced apartments component in the high zone of Vattanac Capital Tower 1. Vatannac Tower is located on a old canal of Phnom Penh that used to connect Mekong River to Boeng Kok(lake). I think It's really hard to build a tall building on a land that used to be a canal. I hope everything work out fine for the project.

This is part of the reason, office demand remains low so there is no point to rush off finish up the tower.

Once the tower completed, it will be impossible for anyone to see the train station far from the Preah Sisovath street. This tower actually block the whole train station behind.

I am really disappointed with the location.

No, I don't think it is hard to build, the construction today use high technology as in Dubai build high buildings on the sea, they just fill up sand as the island and build high building there.
So don't worry it is hard for Vatannac Tower.

Don't worry there are many building going to be built, like Radio station and Embassy center and the location is not on the river there are a side as OCIC tower.

The Vatanak tower is nearly finish under ground.

Vattanac Bank is not located in the canal, it is on the land next to the canal along with the radio station.
however, the train station was already plan to move to outside the city

Wow!!! really??? I agree with you. I know that this area is going to be the banking district in Phnom Penh but why that exact location? How can the city allow this type of construction on this spot???

There is no used to relocate the to train station, since the current location is so strategic - it is actually the best location for a train station.

It is difficult to find such a huge plot in the city center.

This kind of construction will only happen with coruptxxn.

Oh, OK. Now I know the exact location. It would make more sense if that was the correct location.

But isn't the plot (the park area) near the tower also fenced off? Isn't something going to be built there also?

I thought Vatannac Tower were next to OCIC Tower. If you look at Sopheaktr video, you can see that the park area and the area that cHemon mark are all under construction.

If you look carefully, the park is also fenced off (with different fence color), so I am not sure whether or not it will turn into a building site.
