Don't you know that Guangzhou is dubbed as "The world's factory"? IMO, the choice really makes sense. Most carriers from developing countries (Kenya Airways, Ethiopian Airways and also Egyptair if I'm not wrong) actually have chosen Guangzhou as their first Chinese destination because of the trade potential of the city. Moreover, all major carriers are operating to Guangzhou as well.

Hola, ¿por qué Aerolineas en la Terminal 7 in New York, mientras que los demás miembros de SkyTeam se encuentran en la terminal cuatro. Eso no no tiene sentido ¿verdad?

Guangzhou has the highest number of African reisdents in China, so those airlines make sense.

All major airlines first served Beijing and Shanghai.

Landmark agreement will lead fleet-modernization and passenger satisfaction effort

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina, Oct. 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Boeing [NYSE: BA] and Aerolineas Argentinas, the flag carrier of Argentina, have completed an agreement for 20 Next-Generation 737-800 airplanes. The agreement, valued at $1.8 billion at list prices, will play a key role in Aerolineas Argentinas' continued efforts to modernize its fleet and increase passenger satisfaction. When the order is finalized, it will be posted as a firm order to the Boeing Orders and Deliveries website.

I agree with that even Tunisair, libyan airlines and Syphax airlines are launching their Guangzhou flights soon

Aerolineas Argentinas Cargo joins SkyTeam Cargo Alliance

Aerolineas Cargo, the cargo division of Aerolineas Argentinas, today joined the SkyTeam Cargo Alliance during the Air Cargo Americas Show held at the Miami Airport Convention Center. The airline becomes the 12th member carrier of the SkyTeam Cargo Alliance and adds over 30 Latin American destinations to SkyTeam Cargo’s global network.

Representing the SkyTeam Cargo Executive Board, Mr. Mauricio Nieto, CEO of Aeromexico Cargo was joined by Mr.Marcelo W. Bottini, Aerolineas Argentinas’ Regional Director North America, Central America, Venezuela, Peru, Colombia and Ecuador, in signing the Alliance Agreement during a press conference to announce the union.

“Aerolineas Cargo strengthens our presence in the growing Latin American market, particularly in the southern cone of South America,” said Mr. Nieto. “As the only global airline cargo alliance, SkyTeam Cargo is known for its high standards and its customer-focused freight products. The additional of Aerolineas Cargo will enable us to develop our one roof program in the southern hemisphere and increase our reach in this region.”

News relevant to 2014:


- As of April 1 rises to Sydney route, abandoning completely Oceania.
- From the same date Caracas will have a daily frequency (currently six flights a week).
- As of June 1, Rome and Barcelona will have each one daily (currently four five week respectively).
- Between January and March will begin new routes cabotage: Aeroparque-Mendoza-Cordoba Jujuy Ezeiza-Bariloche, Córdoba; Aeroparque-Trelew, Viedma-Aeroparque; Aeroparque-San Rafael-Santa Rosa-Aeroparque, Ezeiza, Bariloche, El Calafate , Ezeiza-Bariloche-Mendoza; Aeroparque-Parana. No specific frequencies.
- Effective January 1 will be restored scheduled flights on the route Aeroparque-Salvador.
- On March 1 will begin daily flights from Aeroparque to Curitiba, and will add a daily flight to Santa Cruz de la Sierra, from Aeroparque (existing frequency operating from Ezeiza).

The first flight landed in New York

Today at 08:07 pm (NYC time) AR1300 flight landed for the first flight to New York route which started flying again from yesterday 15/DIC.

This route will be operated daily with the latest built Airbus 330-200, which are equipped with individual entertainment screens on board the latest technology.

Aerolineas Argentinas A330 Miami Service Changes as of 19DEC13

Aerolineas Argentinas continues to revise planned Airbus A330 operation on Buenos Aires – Miami route. Planned A330 service entry from 01MAR14 remains unchanged, however it’ll only operate 1 daily flight (AR1302/1303), instead of 2. 2nd Daily service (AR1304/1305) is now scheduled to be operated by A330 from 01APR14.

According to Airline Route AR 2014 will double its capacity and VVI to LIM. In the first case, add a morning flight with B738 from August 1, while it will fly from VVI - AEP from April 1, complementing the current operation from EZE.

Aerolíneas Argentinas places order for four A330-200s

Aerolíneas Argentinas has signed a purchase agreement for four Airbus A330-200s to renew and consolidate their widebody fleet. Aerolíneas Argentinas will announce the engine selection at a later date.
Argentina’s flagship carrier will deploy the new A330 aircraft for medium and long haul routes from their Buenos Aires hub to destinations throughout Latin America, Europe and the United States. The airline currently operates eight A340-300s, four A340-200s and four A330s.

Aerolineas Argentinas from 02MAR14 is converting Buenos Aires Ezeiza – Cancun service to scheduled charter to regular service, as reservation is open to the general public from this date. The airline operates this route once a week (Day 7), but will increase to 3 weekly from 04JUL14.

Following schedule is effective 04JUL14.

AR1371 CUN0935 – 2025EZE 340 357
