Facade of the stadium was built in the Constructivism style, the leading style in the Soviet architecture in 1920s-early 1930s.

Look at this part of the facade:

Never because the complex looks terrible and needs to be redesigned so that the soccer stadium has the same orientation as the old Dynamo Stadium.

Lol you mad? The stadium looks great, and they should start earlier next year.

Only its interior looks good, but the exterior is still terrible. Arena still needs to be in a separate building, and I don't think the plans needs to be finalized yet. Why was the arena proposed inside the stadium, and why is the stadium's orientation wrong? And what's the deal with this blobbish exterior design? Don't construct this building with an ugly exterior in real life, it is an example of terrible design and terrible arrangement within a historic facade. Dynamo Stadium should have been demolished altogether, and this despite its facade being listed as a historical monument.

With same mentality, very soon there will be no any historical monuments in Moscow anymore.

Like many people on here, it's best just to ignore Jim856796. The stadium and arena look amazing. Can't wait to see this thing built.

This stadium is in the list of potential candidates for WC venue (together with Luzhniki and Spartak Stadiums). Now we can only guess - what and how many Moscow stadiums will be include in the final list.

I am 18 years, and I say the stadium/arena building just looks f***ed up.

It's like that story on how some townhouses are built on the field of a former baseball stadium in Japan. And do you know what happened to that stadium and those townhouses? They were torn down for redevelopment. The stadium was in Osaka.

Fantastic looking stadium redevelopment. is this definitely going ahead?

And don't worry about Jim - he just has delusions of relevance.

And why can't the new stadium and arena be built as separate structures on the site? I am just opposing this piece of crap project and may be called a total NIMBY.

You might not like it, but as you can see from responses here, a lot of people absolutely LOVE it. Certainly not a piece of crap IMO - more a breathtakingly stunning refurbishment.

Why should they be? What are the advantages of doing that?
