urban mixed building

Hello everyone,

I am looking for buildings from all around the world which associate residences and public facilities.
For instance, a public swimming pool combined to appartements.
Or gymnasium + appartements. and so on.

I can easily find projects where appartements are combined with shops or hotels or offices but nothing corresponds to a mix of public facilities & private appartements.

Any idea ?

Thank you very much concrete stereo for helping me!

Bibliotheek++ is the kind of examples I am looking for.

I am looking for others projets too, which gather [library, gymnasium, school, museum, or any other public place] and appartements, IN THE SAME building. No markethall since it is a private place.

Any other idea is welcome

it could be buildings composed by dwellings and childcare center (kindergarten) too.
I know there are many structures like this existing around the world.

surprisingly hard to come up with one though. Kids don't combine well.

Stadskantoor Rotterdam competition (all the big guys made plans, Rem Koolhaas won, the project of Mecanoo is worth checking out): city hall, office, shops, housing

De Opgang, KCAP Architects: Apartments, church, kindergarten

Are you sure there is a kinderkrippe ?
It is not specified on architect's webpage.

BIG loves combining stuff. The first one to come to mind is the World Village of Women's Sport starting construction in Malmö, Sweden(Sports hall+apartments). Check out their webpage and see what else they've done.

In theory the notion of federalism finds its perfect application in the process of building infrastructure networks in urban areas. In this scenario, the federal government establishes a national policy for the improvement and enrichment of the specific infrastructure systems and services.

What do you mean exactly IvanaAlba ?
Somebody told me I should observe how public facilities (schools, gymnasium, a.s.o.) are used in Germany and Switzerland. Is that what you are telling me about ?
And do anyone know where I can find a piece of information about that ?
