Hey, you're the one who's been doing the most around here. So thank you. You're welcome, just some of the random stuff that I have around stored somewhere. Now that we've seen the render of the Tuas station, I'll have to guess that it probably is due to the Tuas South Extension should it materialise. Plans may have changed though, from 2 level platforms to stacked, we don't know.

And the Tuas Link station is just next to the sea, should be the first ever MRT Station located very near to the sea.

It is. It is also one of the first above ground station to have the concourse above the platform as the platform being quite low. Here is a post by mrtfreak with the picture of the station.

A news article on the new buses .

SMRT Buses to roll out full low floor buses from March
By Mustafa Shafawi | Posted: 18 January 2011 1253 hrs

SINGAPORE: SMRT Buses will introduce 10 new full low-floor buses from March as part of its fleet renewal programme.

This follows positive feedback on the Mercedes-Benz Citaro bus, which was put on a six-month trial in March last year.

The majority of passengers agreed that the full low floor of the bus made it a safer ride for them.

Meanwhile, SMRT Buses has also put on trial two environmentally-friendly buses.

One is the first diesel-electric hybrid bus made by Chinese company, Zhong Tong.

The bus uses up to 30 per cent less fuel and emits up to 30 per cent less greenhouse gases, making travel on public transport even greener.

It will be on a six month trial from tomorrow on Service 106, before being put on Service 945 from April.

Another full low floor bus from German manufacturer, MAN, is undergoing a one year trial.

Yongnam wins $23.5m MRT deal
12:30 AM Mar 16, 2011

Singapore-listed construction company Yongnam Holdings has been awarded a contract worth S$23.5 million for the MRT North-South Line Extension.

The North-South Line currently ends at the Marina Bay station. As part of the contract, the MRT line will be extended one kilometre southwards, mainly to serve the new developments in the southern Marina Bay area.

This includes the upcoming International Cruise Terminal in Marina South.

Yongnam will support the main contractor, Samsung C&T Corporation, in the supply, installation and removal of steel struts for the project. The contract is expected to be completed in Sept 2013.
