I think it was on hold a few months back for not getting some environmental clearances.

n after he paid some bribe he got it, environmental clearance its just a way to get money from builders, thats the reason they dont care, n start building first, they know its just way to get money from them.

... while some rebar chills out in the muddy rain water:
[/QUOTE]

Scary how corroded re-bar makes it's way to the foundation of Mumbai bld.g's.

You know it does not stop corroding even after being set in concrete, just slows down a lot. So corroded, weak re-bar goes into the foundation .It should be the reverse, the load is higher at the bottom.

I have seen re-bar encased in plastic shrink wrap being used to avoid water damage.

Here, the gross negligence shown by the bastar*s involved means nothing.
Any normal place and it would be jailtime re: gross, vicarious negligence. Almost pre-meditated homicide. Hell, scary.

How do you know there is corrosion? Just looks like rust. Rust isn't necessarily a bad thing on rebar unless it has rusted right through.

Also, look at the photos of the rebar already in place in earlier photos on this page. All exposed.

Man, you know every time I come across your posts, I have never bothered to read it. Don't know if its your irritating display picture or the excessive amounts of smileys or is it just that your posts come out from nowhere.
