The language in Indonesia is called Bahasa Indonesia. It is written in Latin alphabets. Bahasa Indonesia is similar to Bahasa Malaysia in a way that American English is similar to British English. The root of this language is Malay. Besides Indonesia and Malaysia, Malay is also used in Singapore, Brunei, and Southern Thailand.

Singaporean National Anthem is written and sung in Malay.

FYI, Malay is the national language of Singapore, and the composer of Singapore's National Anthem is Zubir Said, who was born in Sumatra, Indonesia.
