i have like 4 speeding tickets on 40, once caught doing 100.

surprisingly, GA roads, especially those leading to Atlanta are all screwed up.

In anycase, IMHO, 75 is way too fast and dangerous for travel driving, especially given indian cars. In any car cruising at 65-70 is pure joy, AFAIC.
agreed. TN, AL and TX roads have smoother surface and slightly higher speed limits.
NJTP is NJTP. NJTP can soak in snow, sleet, salt and rain for 3-4 months every year and still feel fit.
and don't forget the volume of traffic NJTP handles with the Newark Intl Airport, Newyork up n down work-force, Elizabeth (mega) port heavy vehicular traffic, dozens of warehouses on either side, Six Flags in the middle, NY/NJ bound construction vehicular traffic...
just bragging

I40 from Nashville to Knoxville is simply gorgeous and if you happen to drive from Knoxville to Greensboro, NC - you will be awed. The highway passes through smoky mountains and it is simply awesome.

I think roads in states like TN and AL are in a better shape because they don't take as much load and traffic. That is why in most of the big cities, roads are pretty much screwed up because they take a LOT of traffic and load.

I have lived in Atlanta and Memphis and currently, I am in Miami area. If I were to compare GA, TN and FL, Florida's roads are worst. Driving in Florida is quite aggressive as well. They don't enforce speed limit strictly here so you will find people easily doing 90mph on Turnpike and I95. In fact, when I drive from Miami to Tampa - I do on average 85 mph.

Coming to Indian roads and cars, I think the new cars there are very much capable to doing high speed. I was driving Toyota Innova and that was as good a ride as my Toyota Camry gives me in US. Absolutely no difference! The only thing I loved more about driving in India was that compared with US, the traffic on highways far too less.
