Sudan only African to have its world bank voting share increased

In recognition of China's economic transformation the world bank has increased China's voting power from 2.78% to 4.42%.

In regards to Africa of the 47 members a third had their voting share decreased and the rest stayed the same apart from Sudan who was the only Country in Africa to have its share increased.

Why did Africa as a whole shrink? That doesn't seem fair at all, it might actually hurt Africa as far as aid/debt issues are concerned.

Good for Sudan though.

China's share needed to be increased, but the Western countries didn't want to decrease their share and It would be a difficult sell to try and decrease other Asian Countries share.
Africa was simply an easy target am just glad that at least Sudan fought its corner.

I read reports of African countries being one of the fastest growing economies in the world right now, this doesn't make sense. They should decrease the US and Greece for f* us up.

Lists of voting powers:

Congrats to Sudan but awful for the remaining 52 countries of the continent.
The faster we get rid of the cancer of IMF and the WB, the better we will be.
