I thought it would be easier to install the 'wings' wather than the two end pieces, but it seems it's the opposite case.

A question, please. Grand Central Terminal is a terminal, not a train station, though it's frequently called Grand Central Station. Will the Hub be a terminal or a station, or something different?

Thanks,

Station is the layman term for any place where a train stops. Like in any field, more specific terms exist so it really depends who you're trying to communicate, and for what purpose, to determine if being pedantic is worthwhile. For example, the WTC1 tower is not a "skyscraper" in the same sense that Grand Central is not a "station".

But I too wonder how it will be referred to on transportation maps.

Well a terminal, or terminus, is a place where a line of transportation ends. There, the transportation stops, drops off, and picks up its cargo and goes back in the direction it came from.

A station is where forms of transportation stop, drop off and pick up cargo, and continue on in the same direction.

At the Hub, the PATH lines will go back and forth across the Hudson, and MTA lines will travel uptown and downtown and continue on their same direction as they pass through the World Trade Center.

So as I see it, it's both? I'm considering it a station until I hear otherwise, due to the fact that the MTA lines go through it. Plus, Grand Central has lines that go through it (Green Line) as well as lines that stop and travel back and forth in the opposite direction that they arrived in, such as the S line.

Can someone explain to me what they have been doing here? Last week it looked like they were digging out dirt and this week it seems like they were lowering/raising equipment down into the hole. But, I could be mistaken with that last part.

This is between the HUB and 2WTC

World Trade Center is a station, not a terminal. While the WTC/Newark and WTC/Hoboken lines technically end there, the tracks do not and the trains go around a loop to go back. While there are subway stations in Grand Central Terminal, that doesn't make it a station itself. Basically, if some of the tracks end, it's a terminal regardless of whether other tracks pass through.

Photoshop messed up the quality of the image, apologies for it. Model is still a WIP.

This one actually liked it, except for the noisy thing on the sky.

Otie, that's totally amazing. But pardon my ignorance... are we looking at the East or West entrance? The real one is not far enough along for me to tell yet.

Thanks,

I was just wondering did they change the design when they made the sides wings not even? I wish they were even or do you think they will still do this? It still looks phenomenal nonetheless! And I'm sure it will be fine

Wings (proper name is rafters) don't move, only skylight will open.

So with 8 upper portal frames in place, transition segments are due to arrive, correct, Otie?

edit: hopefully all 8 remain in place and no adjustments are necessary

They need to erect first the other 8 upper portals on west end. Hopefully, if all are correctly aligned, transition segments will arrive.
