Fascinating.

Remember the elevator shafts/columns on the east abutment?

The "famous" box girder.

Wow. That looks like a UFO under construction, deep below Area 51.

What a colossally stupid decision by Earthcam ... I wish they'd release a statement about it instead of this silence.

That section belongs to the balcony, linking the north side with the south. Notice the hollow space at the center for escalator machinery. The thing is turned upside down.

Working on the skylight mullions. I give up on the details, no way I can get this thing done with every single bolt included.

Oh yes, Enclos is building the skylight (including machinery, glass, gaskets, mullions, etc...) and I believe the curtain wall between the portals as well. Maintenance catwalks covering the skylight do enter to misc. metals, not sure who is the contractor, but whoever is, they have already built a mock-up on site, just northeast of Oculus. As for the skylight, Enclos built several mock ups of different modules. First one was tested back in December last year. Fabrication orders have been already sent, no additional info available to me

Its kind of puzzling to deal with drawings of different sources, specially when attempting to 3D model. Enclos did modified some reference geometry points from the architectural drawings of Santiago Calatrava/DDP. Regardless of the countless headaches, I'm inspired by the amount of details you can find on the shopping drawings!! They get straight down to the 1/64"!

Jingle bells,
EarthCam smells,
Took our view away!
Oh what pain
It is to miss
Our oculus each day! Hey!

That animation is slightly disturbing, but nice rhyme.
