There are two EarthCam brackets on a top of the Millennium hotel. The right one (if you're facing the hotel) definitely has a camera mounted. I am not so sure about the left one. Someone with better eyesight (or a good zoom) could probably tell.

Interesting... new dedicated camera in the works?
Doubt it, but since the feed has been down for over a half a month, it gives us something to think about. Didn't we used to have an earthcam near the current VSC that pointed up at 1 WTC, but then disappeared for a month and came back on line at it's current location years ago? It was (if not still is) on the wtc progress site.

This may be the camera you are talking about:

The "left one" is the robotic2 which used to take the pictures of the hub, and still takes pictures of 1WTC, 4WTC, etc. The "right one" is the robotic1 that has been there for quite a long time now and used to focus on the memorial. It went off a year ago, and came back from the dead for a few hours last month.

This is going to be a real cathedral of public transportation, the modern equivalent of the importance given to big stations back in the good old times. It also feels like construction is taking almost for ever but that is also in line with many great stations

Can't wait to see the end result. Is this going to become a sight in itself like Grand Central Terminal?

I remember robotic2 "looking" at robotic1 (or perhaps vice versa) during maintenance in the past, and I think you could barely see the two of them from one of the KPI TV cams.

Does anyone know the location of the Brooklyn Bridge cam? It sometimes looks at 1WTC, the Hudson river, etc.:

Well, well, well, so the WAS more than one camera...

Please, talk to the people in charge and ask them to fix them.

It most definitely will. Similar size and function.

Eventually they have to bring the Long Island Railroad into the WTC Transit Hub.

Also express subway service between WTC and Penn Station and between WTC and Grand Central should be implemented.

An Inter-Airport Shuttle would be great too. Connecting JFK-WTC-Newark

Then the complex would truly be a universal transit Hub.

I used Google Earth to answer my own question. The Brooklyn Bridge Earthcam is also on top of the Millennium hotel, though it seems to be set too far back from the parapet to be able to look down at the hub, which makes sense since it has to be able to get a good view of the East river.

I think it would just be easiest to just extend Path...

In an ideal world, LIRR, Metro North, Path, and even MTA would all be operated under one authority, but I doubt that will ever happen.

Actually, LIRR and Metro North are MTA. These services are part of MTA's operation.

PATH (Port Authority Trans Hudson) is operated by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey - a joint agency between these two states.

Really? Are they fully coordinated (in terms of budgets, funding, capital plans, etc?). That's news to me.

I knew LIRR and Metro North are under their "ownership" (I mean, you see the MTA logo everywhere), but I didn't know that it is, or that ownership implied it is, managed by the MTA...in regards to operations, maintenance, etc.

That is what I was asking for clarification of, since you seemed to know...

Metro-North also services two states: NY and Connecticut.

Anyway, the WTC is very well connected to GCT. The third stop on the 4 or 5 goes to Fulton St, which is one block east from the WTC. Also, I believe that an underground walkway is being built between Fulton St Station and the new WTC Path Station.
