Yes, most of the equipment on 2 WTC is temporary.

I can't stand to even look at what have become of it.

And great work on the links. Made alot of people here happy.

While the 2 sides are not connected to each other each section of each side is connected to the section next to it making it a very strong structure of that will not Domino if struck.

I agree with you Steve, I'm quite sure that's exactly how it will be done. When I'm betting they will do is install the majority of the wing sections at least 3 or 4 out. Use a large mobile crane to reach through where the missing wing sections are to remove the tower crane and then using mobile crane to set the last wing sections. Certainly not an easy feat but not extremely difficult either. Of course they will use one of the tower cranes to disassemble the other one so the mobile crane will only have to disassemble one of them!

Thanks for the great links, beber!!

Not only that the oculus cam is back, all views you linked have approximately double the resolution than the original links we used to use. Great pleasure to zoom in and explore the site!

Original schedule was that steel should be erected until December 2013? At least I think I read like this somewhere. Don't know if it included the wings, though. Probably not.

So highly doubtful it will make its December 2015 opening date.

I guess we have to wait till Summer or Fall 2016.

Does anyone know the height of the highest point of the roof, tallest rib, and shortest ribs? It says 46 meters but I don't know if it's saying the height of the roof or ribs.

Yes, Tishman was expecting to complete the whole structure by Q4 2013, including rafters. Schedule documents were from 2012.

Platform A will be opened during this quarter, don't know the exact date.

I never noticed those guy wires before. Are they supporting the worker's plank or the ribs?

I think they support the main structure until the pieces are fully bolted/welded into place.
