This all depends on your screen size and/or resolution. Personally I appreciate the big photos as you can see more detail.

While the design is certainly impressive and unique I wonder how they can justify such a huge cost to create such a huge unusable space! The cost of this structure is not proportional to its usefulness. The subterranean portions were obviously expensive and required for the functioning of the station but this huge "extraterrestrial" structure above ground with so much open space is certainly much more expensive than necessary.

That's Calatrava's architecture: expensive and iconic. You never chose him for the usefulness of his works, but to leave a landmark, just see what he has done in Valencia, Spain.

All areas of the hub will have free Wi-Fi coverage, per Board Meeting on Wednesday.

Well the vault is almost closed now, then the protruding parts.

BTW, where do you get those update pictures? do you take them yourself or are they from a webcam? pretty good resolution if they are from a webcam.

Not directly related to the hub, but what are they doing here? Modern art installation?

Yes... The dye helps them pinpoint any issues. Looks like a fun colorful scene from this view though.

Earthcam stores the pictures on its server, and beber wrote a script to find the url for the latest pics. You should put this link to your favourites..

I'm sure the old Penn Station was more expensive to build than the new, but which would you prefer to use?

I do understand your point, though. They could have built 2 WTC with the amount of money the transit hub will end up costing. But damn it, can't we have some nice things around here??

And that's why accountants aren't architects.

Is the structure (the terminal itself) elevated?

While detailing these arch segments i wondered how they would have bolted those top rows of bolts seen the internal fan tube is in the way. Well, they can do it. Cheers
