Don't rush my friend, there are still 2-3 pairs of portals and transition segments arriving soon on site... including a pair of keystone arch segments most probably, but I'm just guessing...

There are 5 pairs left? So it need 10 portals and 10 transition segments, right? So 10 transitions on stage.

Nope, the transition pieces are one behind on each side, so four more transition pieces are missing and still need to be delivered. 10 portals are missing with 6 of them on site, and 14 transition segments with 10 on site. Shouldn't take long, soon we'll see rafters coming in and being erected day by day..

Can't wait until it gets its white coat! It will look so stunning, sculptural even.

I can't believe how close this is to being totally enclosed... I need to get down to the site one of these days to check it out.

You really should. Of all the constructions I have seen in the city, this is the most intriguing/ visually impressive I have seen. I can't tell you how many people where looking at it wondering what it was. It looks like a skeleton re composing itself. Just a stunning feat of architecture.
Just look at those angles

Yes, the tourist all stand there staring like idiots and wondering loudly what it is, despite the fact that there are giant artist's renderings of both outside and inside as well as a text description plastered all over the outside fence. (The one the base jumpers climbed over .)

The tourists get a break. But, Greg Kelly from Good Day NY (Fox 5) does not, since he called this the WTC memorial construction this week when they were reporting on one of the security breaches. It's actually surprising he would make that mistake, since Greg is a lot like us and is always making the helicopter zoom in on construction projects.

Hello All.

From what I see only the 2 key segments are missing. Those 2 elements are thinner and have no transition part, just a sector of arch to be bolted on both splice flanges.

I think what your talking about Frank are already there. 1 is on the bottom left next to tower 3 and the other is on the upper right next to tower 2.

No, I'm pretty sure he already stated in an earlier post that those are just 1 inch spacers that are easier to take out and machine than an entire transition segment if there is a gap. Since the transition part is on the inner (towards the center of the oculus) side of the arch segment, there will be an empty gap at the center. He means that an arch section will go in that gap and connect the transition segments on either side.
