Earthcam seems to be updating on hourly cycles now. Do you think they'll work overtime Saturday to get the remaining pieces installed?

Smaller image as requested by weidncol

Yea, y'all are killing me with these pictures here. I need a 42" monitor to see them.

So exciting to think about the rafters starting to come in...

Dude, we were both typing at the same time. Yours wasn't there when I started typing. Chill.

Yes, when (a) you tell us how to resize images that you post here by a link to the Earthcam page, where they are huge (I really would like to know) and (b) when you can suggest a way to prevent 2 or more people from getting the idea to post a particular picture at the same time.

There's already one on site now! You can see it on the ground to the right. I'd expect more to come just about every day. They really seem to move the pieces in quickly.

Does anybody know how this process works, exactly? Are they all prefabricated and just sitting in some warehouse until needed?

Ever heard of image hosting services? I use imgur. Save the EarthCam image to your computer, upload it and you'll get tons of options for resizing and links for sharing.

Might not be the case on this board but on some forums you'll be notified when trying to post if someone else already submitted a reply in the meantime.

I could go to the extra trouble, but why bother, when others have said they like the big images because of the high detail. To each his own.

Because with image hosting, you can post a thumbnail-sized photo on here, then they click on said thumbnail opening a new tab for the full size image.

It will make the thread easier to read, it won't trouble the ones with slow internet connections and you can still get the full sized image by simply clicking on the thumbnail as weidncol pointed out. Would it really be such a disaster to spend 10 seconds on this so that people won't have to look at several 4928 x 3264px photos?

Sorry for derailing this thread with image size controversy. Last remark from my part on this.

It is amazing to see how far this has come, they have really been working fast these past few weeks.

Excited to be back in NYC when this is completed, when I was there last 1WTC was just a stump and this was a hole
