Looks like new some kind of steel is being put together at the bottom of the picture. Does anyone know why the rafters at the bottom of the picture are without their supporting forms while those at the top still have them attached?

Pictures like that really give you a sense of how freaking massive this thing is!

ground support for rafters. They don't want to lay them right on the ground just like other ones.

It looks like the first 12 or 13 rafters on the south side have a different support form structure used to mate the rafter to the transition. Once you get up to the 13-14th transition piece up the arch, suddenly they start to have those connection points where support steel, like those on the north side rafters, will be attached. This is probably a function of lower weight on the first few shorter south side rafter pieces not needing such a beefy support. Just my guess.

Do I see a misaligned piece? Count six up from the lower right in the picture above. Nah, there's got to be an explanation.

I thought I saw that in one of the previous pictures but figured it was something that would be corrected as they finished alignment prior to welding.

Look at this picture (taken noon today) and you can see the alignment is fine. They're going to run out of scaffolding on the north side pretty soon.

...yep, portal N° 6 in the front and the right hand side of the structure is slightly off, they're going to fix the discrepancy with a shorter rafter I guess...

What's really interesting if you look closely at the misaligned piece but is that if you look at the dark mark towards the center of the structure it's in line with the other marks like it. The mark towards the outside as well as the end of the piece are out of alignment so that makes me think that the piece was fabricated incorrectly instead of installed incorrectly. There could be a reason for this but it doesn't seem likely.

Does anybody remember if this was one of the pieces that was taken in and out multiple times?
