Hopefully whatever type of coding the use will be extremely durable and rust resistant! Even a small spot of rust will look terrible very quickly with everything painted white.

What are they going to do now? Weld in a piece of pipe at an angle? Wonder if it would be noticeable from the ground when it's done.

Only enough room on NW scaffolding for workers to install one more piece (5 more on SE side). Interesting times ahead...

Yep. They're getting really long now.

Here's our first rafter that will come as segments! Based on how wide it is and how small the slope is, I'd say this is definitely for the NE side.

But didn't Otie say they would transport them all in one piece, even the largest ones? All they would have done is doing it solely in the night and closing some streets.

Pretty surprised plans got changed up, apparently.

Nope, the plan was to always ship the large rafters in segments.

#10 SE went up, let's hope it stays up...

Cimolai is reporting that all rafters were fabricated as single pieces. I don't have the schedule.

FYI, longest rafter is located on +14 NE, it measures nearly 190ft!
Yes Otie did answer this question, now i'm confused, so the rafters are broken into sections?

Skanska wants to buy more time, they couldn't meet the deadline of getting all the rafters in place before Sept. and opted for breaking in the largest rafters. The City is about to close Broadway, this means no trucks transporting mammoths, hence the latest modifications on the logistical plan. I don't have the schedule, so no additional info available.

I suppose I can post this without problems. The original logistical plan.

So they were actually fabricated as one piece and they are cutting them and then welding them back together onsite?
