Can somebody tell me why is the NW side going a faster pace than the SE side, I thought that they would of been going the same pace, is it because of 3WTC is kind of in the way and will it affect the size of the rafters on the SE side.

It just seems that they have been having more problems putting the ones up only SE side. Many have come up and down several times before being left in place and there was a major misalignment between the 5th and 6th rafter both in length and alignment for the purlings. There's been fewer problems only NW side so far.

I don't think they can fix the rafter alignment problem now.

It doesn't appear to be a length problem but rather an angular problem, in the last picture in the above post, you can see that the 5th rather (the misaligned one) is nearer to the 4th rafter than the 6th. Unless it was a welding mistake or a purlin issue, the purlin misalignment also occurred on the 5th rafter as well.

You seem to be right, can anyone explain why they would let this occur and not fix it fully before moving on and getting into this position? Was it due to not noticing it in time, running out of money or was it that the schedule just cant be stretched to allow for more time wasting to rectify it? I admit i ran into issues with the purlins on my balsa model (see few pages back) but then again it didnt cost $200m.

When will all the rafters be completely installed and when is the projected opening date for this new terminal? I'm eager to see the temporary PATH dismantled so the Performing Arts Center can be built.

All the rafters are supposed to be in place by end of August but with mis-alignment, road closures and other delays, its very doubtful all the rafters will be installed by then.

The Terminal itself is suppose to open in Dec 2015, must very likely it won't meet that date and probably will open in Late 2016.

Even when the temporary station is dismantled there is no guarantee that the Performing Arts Center is going to be built, or at least anytime soon. It's proposed just like WTC2 is but it also lacks funding.

So a little while back there was talks of an escalator being built at 2 WTC so that traffic to the Path station could be redirected through there, and disassembly of the Temporary Path entrance would begin, I haven't heard anything about it and it doesn't seem like the temporary entrance is being disassembled at all? Am I wrong what is going on with all of that?
