#20 N is up! The north side MIGHT end up making it's deadline of August. The south side, I'm afraid, is screwed.

I wonder if the August deadline even matters now that they are sending the larger rafters in sections rather then all in one like they were going to. I wonder if they came up with an alternate route?

Well the original plan was to have them all in place by August. Them shipping the large rafters in one piece would have severely delayed that due to the road closure. Since they have changed the plan to cut them into smaller sections, that should not cause the delay now as they can take a different street. Fabrication issues and whatnot is what will cause a slight delay now, as seen by the south side. I am expecting all to be placed by September now.

Yeah it's definitely not happening by the end of August, North side more likely but I could see all in place by end of September or early October...

Both of you are a bit optimistic in my opinion, considering how many of the rafters have been erected in the last half year and facing the fact that the biggest ones are yet to arrive..

personally I would be satisfied if all of them are in place before Christmas

better to be optimistic but this is the World Trade Center so you're probably right. The North side could very well be done in the few months or so they have run into next to no issues and are going up pretty quickly. All together though probably end of the year like you said.

Question. When will actual rails for the commuter railroad tracks be installed inside the station and when will the rails be connected to the actual subway lines?

That misalignment issue on the south side is barely noticeable now.

Won't having to weld the cut-up rafters cause a delay of its own?
