Oh yes, that is just under Platform B, the tunnel connects the Chiller Plant (which is located on the southwestern corner of the Memorial) to the hub.

Blue rectangle marks Platform A, which is currently open to the public.

There was a Fashion show down the Oculus two weeks ago.

Otie, do you still believe PATH Hall will open by the end of this year? Or is that not happening? I keep hearing this December.

Unless it's a typo, the documents I have are saying 12/14 where weekend service will also start back up. The temporary entrance will be demolished by then, so access will be from Tower 2 and 4.

That's what I read as well and kept hearing. I hope so but I wonder if it's going to actually happen. That would be exciting though..

Yes, but limited to the lower level perimeter. The lower level corridor to T4 was just turned over, some minor details still pending.

Thanks! Also is December 2015 still the planned opening of the Oculus? Or is that delayed into 2016?

They're still aiming for late 2015, but I doubt it will happen.

It is massive inside that Oculus. I really cannot wait to see it in person when it opens. But it looks really cool in its prime infancy. And that was a fashion show? lol More like trailer trash fashion.

Thank you, Otie

for the information on that utility tunnel and for your (as usual) wonderful cutaway drawing of the Hub.

Dey Street Concourse should be opening along with the PATH Hall in December.

In the photo Otie posted above shows what will be opening in December at B2 level, which also shows an arrow pointing to the east, obviously for the Dey Street Concourse.

This thing is taking forwever!
Question: Was part of the brief that the Hub be protective/impregnable from things collapsing from above?
I know this is normal Calitrava design language anyways, but in this setting, with the kind of armoured porcupine feel to it, it looks like it is increadibly strong, and Im curious if this was intentional?

Apparently it could withstand the collapse of Towers 2 and 3, so I would say this is pretty strong lol.

Yeah but the structure itself would still be mainly intact.
