They sure have been slowing down in terms of lifting rafters lately...

Like most complex projects, I'm sure it gets a little trickier as they go along. And with the various lawsuits Calatrava is facing in Valencia and elsewhere, he will want to get it right the first time.

In the photo Otie posted above shows what will be opening in December at B2 level, which also shows an arrow pointing to the east, obviously for the Dey Street Concourse.
Seems unlikely that the entire PATH Hall will done by December, since they haven't even started on the western part of the mezzanine, above Platform C. I'd like to know when they expect Platform B and the center of the mezzanine to be done. It's been under construction for a while now.

Those dates are according to a construction timeline I have, so there could be delays. That's the expected opening date for the corridors and PATH Hall.

The entire PATH Hall won't be opened by December, just the corridors and lower level perimeter like Otie stated with a diagram on the previous page.

Also, they are lifting #24 NW now for installation.

Will the retail locations along the perimeter path be opened along with the path itself?

Isnt apple supposedly opening a store in here? An apple store would really compliment this structure and vice versa
Also, when the THINK design team proposed their wtc design people greatly disapproved of it because it resembled bones or a skeleton which is one of the reasons why it wasnt built, why is it that no one opposed this design for the same reason?

Because the idea of the Oculus is to represent a bird in flight.

And yes, there will be an Apple store on the B2 level to the left of the entrance to the North Corridor in the Oculus.

Heh, it's always reminded me more of a Murex shell than any kind of bird:

Also, wasn't there some contention about Apple not being happy that their store would be partially blocked by a column, or that they couldn't otherwise have the wide open glass storefront they wanted?

Was there any sort of resolution to that? Does Apple just have to make do with the space as is? Not that I figure they could force any kind of design change, but if they weren't made aware of the limitations of the space, could they (or did they) ask to be relocated to a more favorable part of the retail floor?

They asked Westfield if they could modify it to fit their store, so naturally Westfield denied. According to the documents I have, Apple is still moving forward with their contract to lease space where I previously mentioned.

I actually loved that design. It doesn't exactly scream skeleton and bones, though. But then I was happy with the original Statue of Liberty design, which morphed into something ugly and again into something better.

I think the reason that there wasn't public protest for the Transportation Hub is because, as said, it was supposed to be a bird in flight. But also, it was supposed to have glass and be retractable, but then they redesigned it because of a possibility of a terrorist attack. Also, the Transportation Hub isn't the main tower in the complex. But anyway, I think that the Transportation Hub looks more like bones than the THINK design, although it is still very beautiful.

Same, it was one of my favorite proposals out of all of them personally, even though this wasnt a truly functional building. It reminded me of the eiffel tower
