Looks like they may be going for #20 SE as well, it's ready to go.

It looks like they are getting ready to flip over the really long rafter so they can weld the other side.

How many of them are coming in 2 pieces like that? It's going to take tons of time and space to put them all back together.

I noticed the same thing. If it takes that long to weld each one that's cut into 2 pieces it's going to certainly slow down the entire process quite a bit. Is anybody know exactly how many of the rafters will have to be cut in order to be delivered to the site?

#20 SE also went in yesterday. That brings this to 46 rafter in, 68 to go.

I would guess some unlucky sole got to crawl under the fixture and weld from the other side at the same time they were welding from the top. I would hope they built the fixture to do both sides at once or they are the worst manufacturing engineers in the world.

Boingo will bring free Wi-Fi to WTC

http://www.crainsnewyork.com/article...ce=twitterfeed

Officials say commuters and visitors at the World Trade Center will be able to take advantage of free WiFi.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey announced an agreement with Boingo Wireless on Monday.

In May, the board authorized the installation of Wi-Fi at the World Trade Center. The multi-year agreement will include complimentary Wi-Fi in the retail areas of the World Trade Center transportation hub, as well as the PATH station.

It's predicted that the transportation hub will be used by about 200,000 daily commuters and millions of visitors a year.

Even if it is not as "airy" or "birdy" as the first design, the hub really begins to create a "wow" factor!
Thanks everybody for the images!

How else are they going to get you to pay for the faster service?

Thought everyone might find this article and building interesting: /http://archinect.com/news/article/106418394/santiago-calatrava-designed-florida-polytechnic-university-prepares-for-grand-opening. It's another building designed by Santiago Calatrava that interestingly enough was completed on time and on budget! It seems just as complex as this building so maybe some of the problems are not with the architect himself but with other cogs in the wheel.

Can anyone explain what the hole in the middle of this picture is? I'm not sure if maybe it will be used as a support for the future PAC or maybe just a Hole for deliveries underground? But it looks like they are preserving it and its been there ever since they redid the area behind the temporary entrance.
