What is the Enclos crane for? And Otie, do you know if the painting has stopped until next Spring?

Enclos is the contractor for glass installation of the Oculus, including the skylight. By crane he is referring to the hammerhead that will be coming to install skylight.

Looks like they're finally starting to finish off that last corner of the memorial plaza.

In case no one informed you, the upper level of the underground passage between the Transportation Hub and the World Financial Center is partially opened.

Yikes! Those last rafters on the north side are severely misaligned. Enclos is installing and welding clips for the Oculus envelope on all the portal frame pockets.

Any chance they can fix these misalignments or is that how it will remain?

Holy shikes! Those are really bad misalignments! Without the crane in place, how do they plan on fixing this major booboo?

Wasn't somebody mentioning a few weeks ago that they can straighten the rafters out just by strategically heating and cooling different parts of the steel?

I think the misalignment occured because in the latter stages the purlin curved inward so the rafter section above the purlins didnt have a structural support of the purlins which caused them to sway in varied directions.

What are those orange crane/platforms used for? Are they already installing windows with them?

As of right now, the cherry pickers are primary used to allow workers to either paint or weld.
