The finished metal structure looks very uneven. I was expecting a smoother finish - especially above the doorways, where you can clearly see the panels come together. I don't think any amount of paint will make that look better...

Let's say it about 200 pounds on top of it.

What I mean is... tennis ball size hail falling to a perpendicular angle.

Enclos Corp. They are also building up the glass envelope between portal frames.

Very interesting question. As far as I am aware (looking at the shop plans) I don't see any heating mechanism at the modules. Glass panels are sloped 10° outwards, towards the mechanical chambers, so I would expect snow and alike to enter it. There is a rain gutter system running through both north and south arches).

It will be interesting how the maintenance folks are going to manage to keep both the skylight glass and mechanical systems clean. I know they added a brush seal between catwalks and glass, in order to avoid pigeons and alike to enter the mechanical systems, but leaves and other garbage will inevitably enter during strong storms.

yesterday afternoon (5.28.15) with my phone... I liked how the NE corner of the Memorial looks like it's cleaned up and could be opened to the public almost anytime (?)

As far as heeding the skylights go I wouldn't think that should be a major issue. Warm air rises and if the pedestrian areas of the structure are at a comfortable ambient temperature the area under the skylights will be considerably warmer anyway.

Just for my curiosity
Who is that smartest person which made sign 'World Trade Center' from lightest grey aluminum on top of white background?
Try to read this. Tip: sign is below word 'Departing'

Agreed. Sounds like a "You had one job" kind of thing.

It's not nearly that indistinguishable in person... but the entire color scheme is odd, I would agree.
The only thing I can imagine is that they may end up adding some lights...the thing that is odd is that they put in that weird alcove on the ceiling. I don't really get that.

Wha't also weird is that if you look at the letters up closely they look like they are made of thin white plastic which is adhered with double sided foam core tape. Look endwise on the letters. Perhaps they were concerned about the white on white and did a test with plastic letters temporarily applied with the tape to see if the architechts idea would actually look okay. Hopefully they will conclude that a medium to dark grey would contrast better and still blend in well with the overall "no color" scheme of the station. May I suggest a aluminum letter to match the handrails.

The temporary PATH is entered at Vesey St, W Broadway, and Greenwich Streets. You should see it where it says World Trade Center and the symbol of a subway car, between 1WTC and 2 WTC. I did see more work being done to transition to the permananent location this past week. I also noticed what looked like some monitors (hanging from the ceiling in the area near the PATH platforms, heading in the direction of the Oculus...
