The "Ciudad" is miles away from the beach. It's also a complex of futuristic looking architecture. Would you call the Corn Cob buildings "Some Chicago beach buildings"? Or the Burj Khalifa "Some Dubai beach building"? Or the Shanghai Tower "Some Chinese beach building"? Just because a large city has a beach doesn't make every building a beach building.

Yes, but Libeskind's original design was at least daring and innovative. Now it's a very banal hodgepodge, except for Calatrava's Hub. Corporate design won out over a bold tribute to the fallen.

Give the poor guy a break. He's been working away for months now. His arm is really aching at this point!

It doesn't have to be. It's meant to blend into the environment; simplicity at it's best.

returning to work this past week, I noticed the white covering on either side shown here. To the left it was enough to block the view toward the oculus, which at times I could see glimpses of the interior, (beyond the steps) portions of the "ribs" of the oculus. I also noticed that the AC seemed to be working much better as I was spared my daily sauna.

I think those coverings contributed to improvement of AC. Any leaks of cold air were decreased dramatically by the white soft walls
