December 2016 for final completion actually. They quietly pushed the date out back in May to the Lower Manhattan Construction Coordination committee. Most recent minutes found here. http://www.nyc.gov/html/dot/download...689-9-1-15.pdf

Also, all the Westfield banners on the fence along Vesey St. have been edited to black out the "Opening December 2015" that was there previously.

Wow...so this won't open for another 16 months. And even when it opens, it will still be under partial construction as tenants and finishing touches are applied.

So its probably going to be like Spring/Summer 2018 before this Hub is fully complete and populated with tenants. Unbelievable.

lol, Summer 2018, just in time for the opening of the Second Ave Subway (also with a Dec 2016 due date, but we know full well that ain't gonna happen.)

Different view of the lighting. I love how it appears to glow.

Are you sure it's the definitive lighting or just the one they need to work?

Pretty sure it's construction lighting. Not to say, though, that the final lighting might also look like this.

Trebeca Citizen newspaper says a new section of the WTC transportation hub is going to open soon. I bet it will be done over the weekend as in other phase completions.

It seems so. From the top of the stairs from the platforms you can see the wall pushed back some, with some turnstiles. Behind them and to the side you can see the ticket machines. Beyond that you could see a lot of daylight and some of the "ribs" of the Oculus, but not the exterior ones we see from the outside. Those seem to be below street level, and it seems that a pathway from Vesey and 4 WTC would be accessible there. I'll see if I can get my phone pic uploaded to flickr... probably not tonight though..
