That R(W) connection to the north is the main connection, and sits directly above the Fulton Center connection (via Dey Street). However, I was referring to the auxiliary R(W) connection to the south, which connects directly to 4WTC's concourse:

The 3D render shows two sets of double doors, but the image above doesn't make it completely obvious. That's why I was hoping someone would get a good head-on shot of them. I wish they'd open it already, because the main R(W) portal won't open until the upper concourse skirting the oculus section is complete. Until then, this southern portal is the most convenient access point in the WTC concourse.

Digital signage? What are they thinking? That white marble wall should be reserved for artwork, like in the original lobbies of the twins.

So, only the sections covered in plywood will eventually open? Is the wall with exposed fluorescent lights a permanent fixture?

Not that portion. It's called West Concourse for a reason; there's retail lining the passageway. The train station is further east of you keep walking, which is the PATH Hall.

No, it's a shopping mall. The 'train station' is boxed off around the corner. It's called the 'transportation hub' to justify the insane cost of building it, but in reality, it's a rebuild of The Mall at the World Trade Center, which also featured a 'train station'. The branding is about politics.

IF ONLY they'd remove the wall at the east end of that corridor so you can get to the train station without having to go up to the mezzanine and back down on the other side. Walking through there a number of times, you can see just how much is left to do.

They will once the remaining PATH platforms are reopened. The temporary PATH hall will then be demolished. I can almost guarantee that all this will happen sometime in 2016.

Are you sure you want to guarantee the PA doing something? Remember that they announced the opening of the T2 and T4 openings "in a few weeks", only to delay 9+ months

Yes, exactly! Thank you very much! I have no idea how I missed your post before...

Anyway, I really want that entrance to open because the main entrance won't open for quite a while, and I use the R(W) a lot.

---

And no, I probably shouldn't guarantee anything related to the PA.

I love that the corner entrance of 4WTC leading down into the mall is in nearly the same location as the corner entrance of the original 4WTC leading down into the mall. Even that stone 'bench' next to the entrance separating it from the sidewalk had an analogue at the original complex. Was it a conscious homage?

Any word or positive signs that the connection to the Dey St. Passage/Fulton subway station is near ready? I walk by the entrance at T2 and NOTHING has been going on there. There is still scaffolding to the ceiling over the stairs/escalators and it looks there is zero going on workwise.
